Students enrolled on a higher education course have the right to redirect or extend their studies by taking courses other than those initially chosen.
To determine whether you meet the conditions for personalised admission, you must provide all transcripts and descriptions of the learning activities or teaching units for which you are applying for recognition.
In this case, students may be able to benefit from credits acquired during their previous course.
To benefit from exemptions from certain parts of the programme, it is necessary to establish the correspondence between the course programmes of the original institute and those of the new course in which the student is enrolled. If the correspondence (nature and equivalent importance) is established, then the admissions and programme enhancement committee will exempt the student from certain parts of the study programme.
The number of credits awarded by the Commission may not exceed the number of credits awarded by the jury of the institution where the corresponding courses were taken, assessed and awarded.
Students who benefit from the valorisation of these credits are exempt from the corresponding parts of the study programme. The student must therefore no longer take part in the assessment of the learning activities and/or teaching units for which the exemption has been granted.
A pre-registration meeting can be arranged by calling 02/541.48.50 or emailing lfv@ecam.be
